Who I Am - J Fletcher Photography

I am a photographer specializing in images of the natural world, pets and their people, and creative images of things that catch my eye and sense of humor.  I have been using photography to capture those small slices of time since my Dad showed me how to use his range-finder camera 1958.  While serving with the US Army in Viet-Nam, I met Wayne Brink, who opened my eyes to the world of images and provided grounding in the basics of SLR film photography.  My first SLR was a Mamiya Secor 1000dtl with a 50mm f1.4 lens.  Yes, I still have it.

On this website you will be able to view my images and read some of my tips and links to articles on how to improve your own photography.  Anyone can take great images, equipment is secondary to knowledge and an understanding of composition and light is essential.

The site will also include a secure on-line shopping facility where you can buy high quality art prints, signed prints or schedule a photo session.  Currently my primary area is Arizona, New Mexico and the Southwestern USA.
